Globules and pillars in Cygnus X

چکیده
IRAS 20319+3958 in Cygnus X South is a rare example of free-floating globule (mass ~240 Msun, length ~1.5 pc) with an internal HII region created by the stellar feedback embedded intermediate-mass stars, particular, one Herbig Be star. Here, we present Herschel/HIFI CII 158 mu map whole and large set other FIR lines (mid-to high-J CO observed Herschel/PACS SPIRE, OI 63 line 16-15 upGREAT on SOFIA), covering head partly position tail. Reflection and noise in Cygnus X – 1
We analyzed RXTE/PCA observations of Cyg X–1 from 1996–1998. We found a tight correlation between the characteristic noise frequencies (e.g. the break frequency ν br) and the spectral parameters in the low spectral state. The amplitude of reflection increases and the spectrum of primary radiation steepens as the noise frequency increases (ν br changes by a factor of ∼ 15 in our sample). This ca...
متن کاملDust Scattering Halos with Chandra Observations of Cygnus X - 3 and Cygnus X - 1
We improve the method proposed by Yao et al (2003) to resolve the X-ray dust scattering halos of point sources. Using this method we re-analyze the Cygnus X-1 data observed with Chandra (ObsID 1511) and derive the halo radial profile in different energy bands and the fractional halo intensity (FHI) as I(E) = 0.402×E keV. We also apply the method to the Cygnus X-3 data (Chandra ObsID 425) and de...
متن کاملLow frequency radio monitoring of Cygnus X - 1 and Cygnus X - 3
We present results of monitoring observations of the micro-quasars CygnusX-1 and CygnusX-3 at 0.61 and 1.28GHz. The observations were performed with Giant Meter-wave Radio Telescope, GMRT, between 2003 June and 2005 January. Variable, unresolved sources were found in both cases. CygX-1 was detected in about half of the observations, with a median flux density about 7mJy at each frequency. The r...

متن کاملTemporal evolution of X - ray lags in Cygnus X - 1
We present the long term evolution of the frequency dependent X-ray time lags of the black hole candidate Cygnus X-1 as measured in 1996 and 1998 with the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE). Lag spectra measured during the 1996 June soft state are very similar to those seen during 1996 December and most of 1998 while Cyg X-1 was in its hard state. During state transitions, however, the shape an...
